Oke Afa, Lagos state – Primate Elijah Ayodele has said that the probability of President Bola Tinubu suffering defeat in the 2027 election is real.

Ayodele, founder of the Inri Evangelical Spiritual Church, Lagos, spoke in a video shared on his church’s official Facebook page, on Wednesday, August 6. The video was seen by Legit.ng.

According to the cleric, Tinubu should not overrely on northerners.

To avoid a defeat in the 2027 election, Primate Ayodele asked the incumbent Nigerian leader to “change your strategy.”

Hesaid:

“Somebody powerful is coming to unseat Tinubu. Tinubu must brace up. Northerners will not help you. They are not of your interest. Areas where you are supposed to work in the north, you have not gone there. You are only pacifying them. All the pleading you are doing won’t help the situation. They are adamant.

“Change your strategy before it is too late. If you don’t change your strategy, you will see that you make efforts, then that efforts will not give results.”

Tinubu and 2027 politics

Legit.ng reports that as Nigeria inches toward the 2027 presidential election, the opposition coalition, floated on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) , is quietly mapping a strategy that take over power.

Tinubu’s administration has leaned into institution-building and fiscal tightening. But opposition leaders argue that these policies are disconnected from the people’s daily realities , fueling a perception of elitist governance.

Ayodele sends warning message to governors

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Ayodele warned Nigerian governors not to underestimate the ADC coalition platform.

According to Primate Ayodele, some Nigerian governors may be democratically sacked from office in the 2027 general election.

In a statement signed by Osho Oluwatosin, his media aide, sent to Legit.ng, Primate Ayodele disclosed that the coalition platform has the power to take over some seats in Nigeria, and governors must work very hard to ensure they retain their states.
