Korra Obidi laments public judgment, denies staging misfortunes

Controversial dancer and singer Korra Obidi has voiced her frustration over the public’s tendency to accuse her of fabricating or staging the challenges in her life.

On her Facebook page, Korra questioned why some people are so quick to assume that her misfortunes are orchestrated. “Why are some people so quick to say I stage the misfortune in my life?” she asked.

Her remarks appear to be a response to ongoing criticism and scrutiny following her widely publicised and turbulent divorce from ex-husband, Justin Dean, which was finalised in November 2022.

The separation was riddled with social media drama, including Korra’s claims that Dean sought spousal support despite allegedly not contributing to their children’s welfare.

Reflecting on her journey, Korra emphasised that every season in life serves a purpose, adding that it is often through hardship that one learns to value the good times.
