Popular Lagos socialite and entrepreneur Pretty Mike has shared a video on his Instagram page about the loss of his father, who passed away a couple of months ago.
He described his father as a man who instilled love in him and encouraged peace.
“I lost my father a couple of months ago. He was a man who instilled a lot of love in me. He always encouraged peace. I rarely speak about my personal life online, but I needed to put this out”, he said.
During this emotional moment, Pretty Mike took the opportunity to spread a message of peace, forgiveness, and the importance of avoiding negativity online.
He specifically addressed the growing trend of “aura for aura,” where people promote revenge and negative energy under the guise of matching vibes.
Pretty Mike emphasised that true strength lies in love, patience, wisdom, and not retaliation.
“There’s this slogan ‘Aura for Aura’ going around that encourages bad energy. It promotes revenge and retaliation. But true strength lies in love, patience and wisdom – not retaliation”, he said.
In his emotional post, Pretty Mike bid his father a final farewell, saying, “I can no longer see you with my eyes or touch you with my hands, but I will feel you in my heart forever. Rest well, Dad”.
