The Nigerian Institute of Food Science and Technology (NIFST) is a professional body that represents the interest of food Scientists, Food Technologists, and allied components drawn from Academia, Research Institutes, Industries, Public, and Private sectors in Nigeria. NIFST provides support to its members, the food industry, and the government in National policy development, advancing and promoting Food Science and Technology as a profession, thus contributing to nation-building. The Institute provides a platform for stakeholders to interact and chat about the way forward in the food business.
Therefore, the Local Organization Committee (LOC) on behalf of the Governing Council hereby invites all stakeholders to the 47th Conference And Annual General Meeting of the Institute tagged, “Umuahia 2023:Ebeano” with the theme: Nigerian Food For The Global Market. The conference offers a platform to deliberate on issues relating to National food safety, security, and sustainability. It is scheduled to hold from 16th-20th October 2023 at the International Conference Centre, Umuahia, and Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State. Participation and collaboration are invited from all sectors including public and private organizations, NGOs, Food and Agro-allied industries, academia, research institutes, students and Nigerians in the diaspora, etc. We look forward to a very rewarding and fulfilling discourse as you join us at the conference.
