Monday Okpebholo was sworn in as the new governor of Edo state. He made some key appointments to aid his administration on the inauguration day.
Musa Ikhilor, a seasoned lawyer with over 11 years of experience in legislative drafting, parliamentary administration, and lawmaking procedures, has been appointed as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) by the new governor.

Dr Samson Osagie’s impressive resume
Osagie was nominated as the Attorney-General. He has an impressive resume that showcases his expertise in law and politics.
He was called to the Nigerian Bar on March 22, 1995, and currently serves as Vice President of the African Bar Association (West African Region).
His political experience includes two terms in the Edo state House of Assembly and the House of Representatives, where he rose to the position of minority whip.
Dr Cyril Adams Oshiomhole’s academic achievements
Cyril, son of Senator Adams Oshiomhole, has an impressive academic background. He attended St. Anne’s Primary School and Command Secondary School.
He attended Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, for a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery. He furthered his studies at renowned institutions such as Tulane University, Harvard University, and Queen Mary University, London, specializing in Environmental Health, Toxicology, Disaster Management, Clinical Research, and Gastroenterology.
Akpabio speaks on Edo governorship election

Akpabio made this known after receiving the result sheet from the APC chairman in Edo, Jeret Tenebe, at the state capital, Benin.
This came following the declaration of Monday Okpebholo, the APC candidate, as the winner of the election by INEC on Sunday, September 22.
