Actress Angela Okorie has defended controversial singer Naira Marley, describing him as a “sweet soul”.
According to Angela, Naira Marley surprised her on one of her birthdays by showering her with money and offering encouragement that no one else in the industry has given her.
Angela shared her positive experience with Naira Marley, stating that he is a quiet person who doesn’t talk much and isn’t a fighter.
She recalled that after he attended her birthday party, she visited him to thank him, and they collaborated on a song, which he even promoted on his own platform.
She wrote on Instagram, “One of my birthdays, about the last three or four years ago, Naira Marley surprised me. He gave me lots of money. I was shocked. The encouragement he gave to me, nobody has ever given it to me in this demonic industry where you and I know people just envy you for nothing, for being yourself, for being bold, for talking and working so hard. People are just going to envy you”.
