The nominees yet to be confirmed are Nasir El-Rufai from Kaduna State, Stella Okotete from Delta State and Abubakar Sani Danladi from Taraba State.
The controversies around El-Rufai’s nomination as Tinubu’s minister
During the screening of El-Rufai, a two-term governor of Kaduna State, Senator Idris Karimi from Kogi State, raised an alarm that he was with a petition against the former governor, bordering on security and religion.

But the Senate President dismissed the petition, stating that their job was to ask the nominees questions about their nomination and appointment if they succeeded.
Akpabio further noted that such a petition would be forwarded to the appropriate authority for investigation, and the Upper Chamber would work with the investigation report.
Why has the Senate yet to confirm Stella Okotete as Tinubu’s minister
On Okptete, the Executive Director (Business Development) of Nigerian Export-Import Bank (NEXIM), there was a controversy surrounding her nomination as she was accused of non-declaration of her assets.
The Code of Conduct bureau (CCB) was also petitioned to investigate the allegation that Okotete was operating a business while she was in active service.
Abubakar Sani Danladi, also a former governor of Taraba State, was not confirmed by the Red Chamber, who promised to confirm them once the security report was ready.
