BREAKING: Tension as 15 Die in Fresh Attack in Benue

Benue community came under fresh attack on Wednesday night, January 31, and no less than 15 bodies have been recovered in less than 24 hours after the incident.

The people of the Ugboju community in the Agatu local government area of the state said many people are still missing and that the assailants have continued to attack the areas for the past two weeks.

Daily Trust reported that a villager in a telephone chat disclosed that the bodies were recovered in the early hours of Thursday, February 1, adding that the situation had made the people of the community helpless.

The villager stated that before now, many bodies had been discovered since the search team had continued to comb the forest for missing persons.

Prince Inalegwu Adagole Simon, an aboriginal of the affected village, told journalists in Makurdi that the assailants besieged the community at about 3 pm on Wednesday.
