Dan Wootton’s contract as Mail Online columnist terminated | Ents & Arts News

Dan Wootton’s contract as a columnist for the news website Mail Online has been terminated, a spokesperson for the news site’s parent company said.

Wootton was suspended by GB News on Wednesday, after a row over comments by Laurence Fox on his show earlier this week.

Fox was taken off air following the comments he made on air on Tuesday about female PoliticsJOE journalist Ava Evans, which have been described as “unacceptable, unjustifiable and indefensible”.

One of his remarks included asking: “Who would want to shag that?”

GB News said in a statement: “[We have] suspended Dan Wootton following comments made on his programme by Laurence Fox last night.

“This follows our decision earlier today to formally suspend Mr Fox.”
