Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, aka Davido, has shunned jibes thrown at him by colleague, Wizkid on social media as the rivalry between the duo resurfaced on Tuesday.
The latest tirade from Wizkid erupted on Tuesday after Davido teased a snippet of his upcoming single for 2024.
It started when Davido’s associate, Kayode Yajaur, known as Black Tycoone, seemingly mocked Wizkid over the delay in his album release, tweeting, “Tell your Daddy to drop an album already.”
The singer then took to X (formerly Twitter) to throw shade at Davido’s camp, writing, “P***y boys dropping mid again,” followed by, “Una don tire! Make una go rest small!”
While he did not mention Davido by name, fans were quick to interpret the post as a jab at the ‘Feel’ crooner.
In defence of Davido, one fan accused Wizkid of using the rivalry to stir up attention, tweeting, “So if you no beef @davido, your song won’t sell?”
Wizkid responded swiftly, denying that he was clout-chasing while attacking Davido’s talent. “I don’t beef wack niggas! We all know he’s wack! No talent!” he fired back.
Meanwhile, at the time of publishing, Davido has not yet responded to any of Wizkid’s subtle jabs, instead focusing on promoting his other projects across his social media platforms.
