South Africa and UK-based Nigerian creative entrepreneur, Fabian Adeoye Lojede, has unveiled Prodculator, a groundbreaking platform poised to transform the entertainment industry by simplifying film tax incentives, financing, and investment matchmaking.
Through his company, DEO Media Limited, Lojede has developed Prodculator to address the persistent challenges faced by filmmakers in navigating complex tax rebate systems and securing necessary funding.
“In a rapidly expanding global film industry, accessing tax incentives and securing financing remains a significant hurdle for creatives, Prodculator is designed to be a game-changer, acting as a vital bridge between film producers and funders while demystifying the intricate world of tax rebates.” Lojede said.
The platform empowers filmmakers, producers, and investors by offering instant calculations of potential tax rebates and facilitating connections with global funders. “For example, a Nigerian filmmaker aiming to shoot in South Africa or the UK can now calculate available tax rebates in those countries within minutes,” he added.
While many African nations, including Nigeria, are still developing robust tax incentive programs, Prodculator opens doors to global funding opportunities and enables investors to discover promising projects. The platform also enables direct interaction between filmmakers and investors, facilitating support through grants, rebates, and private financing.
This project is one out of many from Lojede and his team at DEO Media. Other upcoming releases include a children-focused content platform, a soon-to-be-launched YouTube channel and a creative masterclass platform, all set to launch later this year.
