Ibadan, Oyo state – The Ibadan residence of the late Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has continued to receive prominent politicians who visit to express their condolence.
It was not different on Friday, December 29 three south-west governors, Dapo Abiodun (Ogun) Ademola Adeleke (Osun) and Biodun Oyebamiji (Ekiti) visited the family of the former Ondo state governor.

The governors sang and prayed for Akeredolu’s family alongside other personalities like Oyo state deputy governor, Adebayo Adeleke Lawal.
Senator Iyiola Omisore from Osun state was also present at the Jericho, Ibadan home to commiserate with the Akeredolu’s family.
Akeredolu’s daughter sends journalists out of father’s compound
Late Akeredolu’s daughter, Ololade sent journalists who came to cover the condolence visits of dignitaries at the private residence of his father in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.
The former governor’s daughter argued that the Ibadan house is the family’s private residence, not a government house.
The presence of the journalists was due to the condolence visit of the chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq of Kwara and his deputy, Seyi Makinde of Oyo state, to the private residence of the late governor.
Akeredolu’s son reveals how father died
Aleredolu’s son, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu Jnr said the immediate past Ondo governor died in his sleep.
He disclosed this in a statement he issued on Wednesday evening, December 27.
Akeredolu Jnr commented on how his father died via a Facebook post on behalf of the family. The statement was posted on Akeredolu’s official page.
