Tinubu on Thursday, September 14, said that the former governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike, is not just the FCT Minister but his adviser.

The president made this assertion when he received the high-powered 62-man delegation from Rivers state, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

He told the Rivers State stakeholders that he has heard their cries on infrastructure development especially on the dilapidated Elementary junction-Onne axis of the East-West Road linking the Port Harcourt Refinery.

Vanguard reported that the president in a statement issued by his special adviser on media and publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale was quoted as saying:

“The Honourable Minister, Wike, is not just the Minister of FCT, he is also my adviser and an admirer of mine. He has hit the ground running and he should be encouraged by the State”.

Tinubu’s victory: “We will get justice in Supreme Court”, says PDP BoT

Legit.ng reported earlier that the PDP’s Board of Trustees expressed optimism that the party will get justice at the Supreme Court over the election won by Bola Tinubu.

The PDP BoT rejected the verdict, saying it would resist alleged attempts by the APC to foist one-party rule on Nigerians.

In a communique issued after the 75th meeting of the board in Abuja on Thursday, the acting Chairman of the BoT, Senator Adolphus Wabara, expressed confidence that the apex court has the capacity and courage to right the “wrongs” and correct the “errors” contained in the tribunal judgement.

“You’re not Abuja governor”: FCT senator tackles Wike over 8 appointments

Ireti Kingibe, the senator representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has warned the coordinating minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, against acting beyond his without responding to the national assembly.

Kingibe maintained that the National Assembly would carry out the legislative duties to the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) as the House Assembly does to the state government.

The senator made the comment while faulting the swearing of eight mandate secretaries of the FCTA that the minister did a few days ago.
