- VDM stated that the singer shocked everyone by forgiving her after an apology at the police commissioner’s office
- According to him, Sam Larry allegedly broke down in tears as the apology was accepted against their advice
Controversial social commentator Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has shared an unexpected behind-the-scenes account of how singer Naira Marley reportedly let go of a defamation case against actress Iyabo Ojo, despite having every intention to pursue legal action.
This is coming after the activist hinted at the possible DNA result of Liam, the son of the late Mohbad.
In a video recently posted on TikTok, VDM recounted his frustration with Naira Marley’s decision to forgive Iyabo Ojo after she allegedly apologised to him in Yoruba at the Lagos State Commissioner of Police’s office.

“I told him to lose his cool” – VDM
According to VDM, the original plan was for Naira Marley to hold Iyabo accountable for her public accusations linking him to the death of his former signee, Mohbad.
He stated:
“I told Naira Marley to detain Iyabo Ojo. I told him to lose his cool the moment we entered the Police Commissioner’s office. Tell them her words ruined your image and career. He agreed.”
But what happened next took everyone by surprise.
He shared:
“The moment Iyabo apologised in Yoruba, Naira Marley forgave her. I almost died where I was sitting. I was so upset.”
VDM wasn’t the only one caught off guard. He claimed that Sam Larry, who was also present during the meeting, was visibly shaken and even broke down in tears after Naira Marley accepted the apology.
He said:
“Samlarry protested it. He couldn’t believe it. I was even signalling Naira Marley not to accept the apology. I knew Iyabo wouldn’t keep her word.”

Alleged Liam’s DNA test result resurfaces online
Legit.ng earlier reported that Nigerian influencer Sulaimon Adebayo, aka Pooja, has broken his silence after being publicly questioned by activist VeryDarkMan over a sensitive issue involving the late singer Mohbad’s son, Liam.
VDM had called out Pooja and another influencer, Mbah, accusing them of spreading unverified claims in 2023 that the DNA test had confirmed Liam as Mohbad’s biological child. But Pooja stated it wasn’t what it looked like.
Taking to X, Pooja denied acting out of bias or being sponsored to push a particular narrative in the ongoing Mohbad case.
