Davido and Chioma would be tying the knot in the United States, and Cubana Chief Priest – a close associate of the couple would be conspicuously absent. This has not gone down well with the self-styled celebrity barman.
He has now shared his disappointment in missing the lavish wedding.
In an emotional Instagram post, Chief Priest said he woke up with “mixed feelings,” noting he was happy for the couple but saddened by his absence. He blamed the U.S. visa refusal for preventing him from attending, appealing to the U.S. Embassy in Nigeria to grant him entry in the future.
He wrote: “Woke up this morning with mixed feelings, I’m happy and I’m still sad at the same time… You can clearly see how disappointed & hurt the world is to see me absent at my best friend’s wedding. You need to give me access to get my fat ass into America. Well, delay is never denial, CP is still hopeful.”
Despite his absence, Chief Priest sent heartfelt wishes to the couple, adding that his wife attended to represent him. He ended his post with a fresh appeal to the U.S. Embassy: “I’m in again next week, please give me access to the greatest country in the world. This pain is really paining.”
