A man from Kisii county has expressed his disappointment after coming home to an incomplete mud-walled house that his wife supposedly built with the money he sent while abroad.
Ongiri, who recently flew back home, got the shock of his life after discovering that the money he sent his wife was not put to the intended purpose as they had agreed.
Speaking on Brighton Thee PL YouTube channel, the man was dumbfounded as he visited the site where his grand house was meant to have been constructed with the funds he sent home.

“Even recently, she had asked me for money to buy some windows. I sent around KSh 150k (N1,773,513) and said it would cost KSh 90k (N1,064,107.80),” he told the YouTuber.
Ongiri said he had trusted his wife fully while he was abroad, and he did not thus involve his mother in his dealings with his wife.
Even more shocking was that the mud-walled house was also incomplete.
“I tried reaching her yesterday and demanded to know where my house is and the money for investments that I had sent her. I also called her, but my calls went unanswered,” he said.

He also showed the message he sent the woman, demanding an account of the money he had sent her. From the message, it emerged that the couple has one child.
“I truly thought I could trust her and that she was the one for me. I didn’t know she could do this,” the heartbroken man said.
He insisted he will have to recover his money from his wife so that he can rebuild himself.
In an initial video posted by the YouTuber, the woman confessed to having lied about building the house.
“The photos that I sent of an ongoing construction are from my neighbour. But you should forgive me. I am your wife,” the woman said as the man broke into tears.
