How ADEOLUWAKITAN TAIWO Became A FIFA Football Agent
His name is Adeoluwakitan Taiwo. He is the first son of HRH Oba Taiwo Taiwo, the Onipara of Ipara-Remo, an ancient Ijebu community in Ogun State. Few days ago, he was officially decorated as the Aremo “Heir apparent” to the throne of the Onipara of Ipara-Remo. He has been away studying abroad for a while and just returned back to the country to join his father, Oba Taiwo Taiwo in his kingdom as Aremo. The young, intelligent and highly creative Kitan according to his mother, Olori Afolake Taiwo loves playing football in his tender age. His passion for the round leather game made him develop interest in becoming a football agent as a scouting young talented footballer and introducing them to the world stage. He is so serious about this that he has succeeded in fulfilling the requirements of becoming a FIFA Licensed Football Agent.
Kitan has a FIFA license as a football agent. His name is now included among the 4000 FIFA licensed football agents across the globe. He is qualified to provide agent services and can now represent clients in the context of transfers worldwide. As a way of achieving his greatness in his new line of trade, Kitan founded Keytone Sports Group, a sports management service provider involved in recruiting, sourcing and placing top football professionals in their chosen clubs/teams.
His full presence in Ipara-Remo will no doubt be of great benefit to the people of the community and its neighbourhood. He would be using his knowledge and influence to help raw football talents in the grassroots fulfil their dreams of playing in top football leagues across the world. This would go a long way in making life better for the teeming youths, their parents, families, the community and the country at large.
In a brief chat with City People Reporter, JAMIU ABUBAKAR (08085185886), Kitan spoke about his new role as Aremo and how he intends to use his influence as a FIFA licensed Agent to assist the youths Ipara-Remo and other Ijebu communities. Below are excerpt:
How do you feel about your official conferment of the Aremo title?
I feel good because it’s a great responsibility to represent the people of Ipara wherever I go, whether in the diaspora or back home. So, yes I feel good about it.
A bit about your profile?
I grew up in Nigeria but did all my college level abroad. I have a Masters Degree. I’m currently a licensed FIFA agent and I’m also a business development manager.
Institutions attended?
I attended the University of Arkansas, the College of Saint Rose and Budapest Metropolitan University.
How did you achieve your license as a FIFA agent?
On being a licensed FIFA agent, I applied, they screened us and took an examination. There’s only 4000 of us in the world. It’s good. That means we can represent any player anywhere; South Korea, China, America and wherever.
How were you able to put all these together?
One step at a time, I just keep pushing. You know when your dad is a great man, you have no choice but to represent him well and be the best in what you do.
As the Aremo, what do you intend to do for your people in Ipara-Remo?
There’s definitely a lot of things to do. I think the first thing I want to do is to try to bring an artist for the Ogo Alade, an event for the youths. They have not really had nice artists to perform years back. So I’m looking at bringing in top artists like Runtown, QDot and someone like them, maybe for the next one. In the aspect of community development, I’m looking at setting up a school and that would be the main thing for me. I’m also looking at setting up a fitness centre. You know I’m into fitness, so if I can set up a gym here, why not!
Do you have any plan as a FIFA licensed agent to fish out and promote young football talent in Ipara-Remo and environs?
Promoting sports in general is also a good thing but more so, for the people of Ipara. There’s a lot of talent here that hasn’t been seen. And hopefully, I can use my platform to be able to scout them and take them up.
