Ministerial List: Full List of 28 Nominees President Tinubu Sends to Senate

  • President Bola Tinubu’s ministerial list has finally been transmitted to the Senate for screening and confirmation
  • According to the list of the nominees as read by Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President, President Tinubu forwarded the names of 28 nominees as the first batch
  • Among the list are four women, four former governors, ex-senators, heads of government agencies and parastatals

FCT, AbujaPresident Bola Tinubu finally transmitted the names of 28 nominees for ministerial positions under his cabinet to the Senate on Thursday, July 27.

The list consisted of former governors and members of the leading opposition, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), The Nation reported.

The 28 names in the ministerial list sent to the Senate included four former governors and four women, according to Bayo Onanuga, a member of the presidential transition committee.

There are also heads of government agencies and parastatals, current and past senators, among others, who made the cut in the much-anticipated ministerial list.

APC chairman makes Tinubu’s ministerial list

Surprisingly, the current acting chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abubakar Kyari, made the list.

Kyari Succeeded Abdullahi Adamu as the national chairman of the APC after the latter formally tendered his resignation letter from the party.

He represented Borno North senatorial district in the ninth national assembly and formally announced the resignation of Adamu on Monday, July 17.
