The Bella Amor Aid Foundation founded by actress, and activist Mirabel Etuk, is set to launch its transformative national food relief and skills empowerment initiative, tagged, Mo’ Feed.
The launch would include a high-impact fundraising gala and a prestigious Humanitarian Awards Night.
The event will take place on Tuesday, October 1, 2025, at Festival Hotel, Festac Town, Amuwo Odofin, Lagos.
According to Etuk. Mo’ Feed which is a nationwide humanitarian initiative aims to combat hunger, reduce malnutrition, and empower vulnerable populations across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.
She said: “The project targets over 600,000 individuals, including vulnerable children and youth, low-income families, widows, persons with disabilities, and other economically disadvantaged groups.
“The project objective is to provide consistent access to healthy and nutritious meals for over 600,000 individuals, improve health and nutritional outcomes across underserved communities, support cognitive development, especially among children and adolescents, empower beneficiaries through vocational skills and capacity-building programme and strengthen community support systems and promote long-term resilience.”
She added that the implementation strategy is to Partner with local NGOs, institutions, and community stakeholders for inclusive outreach, set up regional food distribution centers for efficient delivery and monitoring, source food items from local farmers and suppliers to boost local economies and integrate practical skills workshops alongside food distributions.
The expected impact will be a significant reduction in hunger and malnutrition rates, improved cognitive and educational development, especially in children, economic empowerment through vocational and life skills training and stronger community cohesion and improved social welfare structures.
In a related development, the Bella Amor Aid Foundation has also launched the Boy Child Life Matters Initiative.
The organizers are also using this opportunity to call on the government, corporate bodies, Volunteers and well-meaning Nigerians to support this vision and help make it a resounding success. Hunger remains one of the most pressing challenges facing our nation, and nothing diminishes the dignity and potential of a people more than the inability to access adequate food.
