NAFDAC Reveals The Top 10 Rejected Nigerian Goods Abroad

Lagos state – The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has revealed 10 Nigerian goods rejected abroad.

The Deputy Director, Export Division, Ports Inspection Directorate (NAFDAC) Sanwo-Olu O.A, said the Nigerian goods are rejected based on non-compliance to set standards by freight forwarders, cargo handlers, airlines/carriers and regulatory agencies, Daly Trust reported.

She stated this while speaking at the 3rd CHINET Aviacargo conference in Lagos. The title of the conference was “Unlocking the Logistics Barrier to Improving Agro Exports Products.”

  • Beans
  • Melon seeds
  • Peanut
  • Smoked fish/fish meal
  • Ginger
  • Spices paper
  • Hibiscus flower
  • Palm oil
  • Ogbono

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that according to the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), about 120 tons of chemical-laden animal hides and skins fondly called ponmo have been imported into Nigeria.

The director-general of NAFDAC, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, who made the disclosure recently stated that samples of the harmful product have been taken to the agency’s laboratories for testing.

The Director General of the National Agency for Food and Dr*g Administration and Control (NAFDAC) Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, has warmed Nigerians against patronizing drug hawkers.

Adeyeye, who was represented by Dr. Leonard Omokpariola (Director, Chemical Evaluation and Research) said dr*gs are essential and life-saving commodities and shouldn’t be hawked in streets and marketplaces.

Rivers government discovers truckload of substandard ponmo in Nigeria

Nigerians were at the mercy of criminal-minded entrepreneurs who were bent on making money at all costs.

This was the case of some arrested people who were caught with a truckload of suspected substandard animal hide, popularly called ponmo.

The Rivers state government intercepted the substandard ponmo in Onne, Eleme local government area of the state.
