In a groundbreaking move to enhance car repair services in Nigeria, Nollywood actress Tayo Sobola has officially partnered with AUTOFIX-R, an innovative auto service platform. The collaboration was unveiled during a press briefing at the company’s headquarters in Surulere, Lagos.
AUTOFIX-R, founded by CEO Adeola Tokan-Lawal, is a digital platform designed to simplify the way car owners find, book, and pay for quality auto repairs. It connects users with vetted mechanics and workshops suited for their specific vehicle needs, ensuring reliable service and transparent pricing.
Transforming Auto Repairs with Technology
Speaking at the event, Tokan-Lawal described AUTOFIX-R as the “Uber for car repairs,” explaining how the platform helps users locate the nearest and most qualified technician for their vehicles.
“In Nigeria, it’s common to see a Honda mechanic working on a Mercedes-Benz simply because he is available. However, there might be a Mercedes-Benz specialist just three minutes away. Many car issues arise from being handled by the wrong technicians,” he said.
With AUTOFIX-R, he assured that car owners could avoid such pitfalls by getting matched with specialists tailored to their vehicle brand. The company also oversees spare parts procurement at competitive market rates, ensuring proper maintenance.
He revealed that AUTOFIX-R currently operates with 240 physical workshops in Lagos and has plans to expand to Abuja.
Why Tayo Sobola Joined the Partnership
Actress Tayo Sobola expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration, emphasizing the credibility and structure of AUTOFIX-R.
“When I partner with a brand, I’m fully committed. This is more than an endorsement for me; it feels like a family business. The convenience of sitting at home and requesting a mechanic via the app is what makes AUTOFIX-R stand out,” she said.
Sobola highlighted the app’s 24/7 availability, which ensures immediate assistance in case of a breakdown, even in remote locations.
“I could be driving on Third Mainland Bridge at night, and if my car breaks down, I can instantly request a mechanic, just like ordering an Uber,” she explained.
She also commended the company’s physical presence, noting that unlike some online-only services, AUTOFIX-R provides a walk-in office where customers can directly address their concerns.
With this partnership, AUTOFIX-R aims to redefine auto repair services in Nigeria, ensuring reliability, accessibility, and professionalism for car owners nationwide.
