Lagos state – Operatives of the Lagos state police command, Ojo Division, On Wednesday, December 21, arrested one Mr. Imo Lawrence ‘male’ aged 35 and Mr. Magnus Nwonka ‘male’ aged 42 in possession of fake drinks.

The Force made this known in a post shared by his spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, on X page (formerly Twitter), accompanied by a photo and video of the suspects.

According to Hundeyin, during the investigation, the suspects led the detectives to their inconspicuous, multi-room ‘factory.’

“Investigation is ongoing,” Hundeyin noted.

How NAFDAC intercepted fake wines, soft drinks, and consumables in Aba

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that NAFDAC intercepted counterfeited wines, soft drinks and consumables in Eziukwu Market (Cemetery Market) in Aba, Abia state.

NAFDAC Director General, Professor Moji Adeyeye, said it was following an intelligent tip-off carried out after several weeks of intelligence gathering and collation of data.

Adeyeye made this known in a statement issued on Monday, December 18, via NAFDAC X page (formerly known as Twitter) @NafdacAgency.

NAFDAC raises alarm over killer cough medicine

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that NAFDAC warned Nigerians about a killer cough syrup in Nigeria known as NATURCOLD.

Adeyeye disclosed this on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, and stated that the medicines have already claimed the lives of six children in Cameroon.
