Creative entrepreneur Wale Davies, popularly known as Tec of the rap duo Show Dem Camp, has said that poor decision-making is the biggest obstacle to the success of many talented individuals.

Speaking on a recent episode of the Overnight Success podcast, Tec explained that choices such as the team creatives work with or the record labels they sign to can significantly impact their careers.

He stressed the importance of surrounding oneself with the right team, noting that proper guidance and support are crucial for navigating the industry.

According to him, wrong decisions—like signing with a label too early or choosing a manager who lacks genuine commitment—can cause major career setbacks.

“The biggest hindrance for talented people is decision-making. Sometimes, it could be a manager you chose that steals your money or a record label, or maybe you signed too early,” he said.
