Sit-at-Home: Ohanaeze Ndigbo Places N398m Bounty on Biafra Agitator, Simon Ekpa

• The Igbo group alleged that Ekpa is also undergoing urgent plastic surgery to change his look in the last 24 hours

The apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has announced the sum of $500,000 (N398m) as a bounty to anyone who can provide useful information leading to Finland-based Biafra agitator, Simon Ekpa’s capture and subsequent arrest.

The Secretary General of the group, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, in a statement issued on Sunday, July 23, said Ekpa is severally injured after he invaded arrest in Espoo city of Finland on 21st July 2023, Nigerian Tribune reported.

He alleged that Ekpa is undergoing urgent plastic surgery in the last 48 hours.

Isiguzoro added that Ekpa is receiving medical treatment at an undisclosed hospital in Havana, Cuba and undergoing urgent plastic surgery in the last 48 hours.

“Recent developments indicate that Ekpa was tracked down in Espoo city of Finland on 21st July 2023 but managed to evade capture with unbearable and severe injuries. He is presently believed to be receiving medical treatment at an undisclosed hospital in Havana, Cuba.

“It has come to our attention that Ekpa is undergoing urgent plastic surgery in the last 48 hours, which further emphasizes the need for his swift apprehension. Nevertheless, Ekpa’s allies have been releasing old recorded videos in order to continue to hoodwink his followers, conceal his recent ordeals and near capture, but Igbo mercenaries in the diaspora are closing in on him.”

IPOB: Ohanaeze Presents Tinubu Antidote To Combat Sit-at-Home Order in Southeast

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that amid the sit-at-home orders forced on southeast residents by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), the factional camp of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo World Wide has presented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu with an antidote of ideas to eliminate the menace.

Confirming this development, the Secretary General of the Chidi Ibeh faction of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, said suggestions had been made to be set in motion to combat pro-IPOB agitators.

Insecurity: Uzodimma holds emergency meeting with southeast leaders, details emerge

Meanwhile, Governor Hope Uzodimma has summoned an emergency meeting with Southeast leaders over the frequent insecurity challenges in the region.

It was gathered that the meeting featured a series of deliberations ranging from security challenges to political affairs. The meeting had the chairman of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chris Ngige, as well as Ayim Pius Ayim, Senator Dave Umahi and other top southeast leaders in attendance.

Speaker Abbas Rejects Motion Seeking Release of IPOB Leader, Nnamdi Kanu, Gives Reason

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, has put off an amended motion seeking the release of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).

Abbas made the call on Thursday, July 6, after Hon Ginger Onwusibe (LP-Abia) representing Isiala Ngwa North of Abia State asked the House to amend a motion titled “Need to Forestall Further Killings in Ebonyi Local Government Area, and the Rising Insecurity in Ebonyi/Ohaukwu Federal Constituency, Ebonyi State.
