Star Actor Odunlade Adekola Shut Down Abeokuta for OAFP 3rd Edition Awards

Nollywood actor Odunlade Adekola brought Abeokuta, Ogun State, to a standstill on Sunday, December 1, with the third edition of the Odunlade Adekola Film Production (OAFP) Awards. The event brought together the biggest names in the Yoruba film industry for a night dedicated to honoring excellence and creativity.

Prominent figures, including TAMPAN President, Otunba Bolaji Amusan, Femi Adebayo, Muyiwa Ademola, Ibrahim Chatta, Toyin Abraham, Iyabo Ojo, Yemi Solade, Fathia Williams, Laide Bakare, Lateef Adedimeji, Mo Bimpe, Biola AdeBayo, Damilola Oni, Mide Matins, Afeez Owo, Yomi FashLanso, Tayo Amokade, KUnle Afod, Damola Olatunji, Ademola Allwell, Femi branch, Toyosi Adesanya were among the attendees, alongside industry veterans like Prince Jide Kosoko, Yinka Quadri, Toyin Afolayan, Fausat Balogun, Tunde Ola Yusuf, Rasak Olayiwola and many others, including notable movie directors like Abbey Lanre, Jimoh Abiodun, AdeBayo Tijani, Tope Adebayo.

The event, held at glamorous OOPL, Abeokuta, was hosted by celebrated actors, Doyin Kukoyi and Yinka Salau, who added an extra layer of elegance to the night.

The OAFP Awards recognized exceptional achievements across various categories. Prince Jide kosoko & Ibrahim Chatta were honored with the Legend of the Year award, celebrating their huge contributions to the Nigerian film industry.

Overwhelmed with emotion, Ibrahim Chatta prostrated on stage to express his gratitude, thanking the audience and his fans for their solid support

Mide Martins emerged as the Best Actress of the Year, delivering one of the evening’s most heartwarming moments. In her acceptance speech, she went on her knees to thank her husband, Afeez Owo, for standing by her since the passing of her mother.

Actor Rotimi Salami clinched the Best Male Actor of the Year award. Many other notable Actors, directors and production crews won and were rewarded.

Odunlade Adekola Film Production (OAFP) Awards have been marked in the hearts of people as a platform that recognizes and celebrates the Yoruba film industry’s finest talents while showcasing its cultural richness and unity.

Odunlade Adekola, the visionary behind the event, once again proved his dedication to uplifting the industry by honoring its stars and fostering collaboration. He made sure the night was unforgettable, full of joy and recognition for the hard work of Yoruba actors, filmmakers and Production crews.

With its dazzling turnout, emotional highlights, and celebration of talent, the OAFP 3rd Edition Awards was a resounding success, a night of celebration that left fans excited for what the next edition will bring.
