Port Harcourt, Rivers state – Reverend Stephen Akinola, the general superintendent of the Redemption Ministries Worldwide has died.
The BBC reported that the popular Rivers state-based pastor died on Sunday morning, June 6. The publication stated that Akinola’s death was confirmed by one of his pastors.
The source said:
”The church has informed all pastors of the incident and his body has been deposited in the mortuary.”
The News of Stephen Akinola’s death came in hours after the death of Prophet TB Joshua, the founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations..
The Punch reported that members of the Redemption Ministries thronged to the church which has its headquarters in Port Harcourt to mourn the famous cleric.
Apostle Eugene Ogu, a former chairman of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) described Akinola’s death as a sad.
“Yes, it is a very sad day for the Christian community. While we were still talking of Prophet TB Joshua, Akinola’s death happened.
