The ‘Supermom’ reality TV show is making a comeback in 2025 with a fresh new season. After a long hiatus, the show’s creator, Sola Fajobi, confirmed its return, stating that viewers and industry giants have been asking to bring it back. The show celebrates mothers in different forms, not just biological ones.
According to Fajobi, a real mother is someone who shelters, guides, and cares for a child, providing unconditional love and support. This season promises to be exciting, with the winner receiving a brand new house, the first runner-up getting a brand new car, and the second runner-up receiving cash prizes. Top local and international brands have shown interest in backing the show, and the crew is already working on different locations.
According to Fajobi, “We have created several reality shows that include Next Movie Star, D8 and Supermom but one show that has seen viewers and industry giants asking us to bring back is the SuperMom and the reason is not far fetched. Supermom is fulfilling to me because it is designed to celebrate mothers.
“A lot of people believe that a mother is any woman who gives birth to a child. However, it is important to note that mothers come in different forms. They can be a mother by birth, Stepmother and a mother by adoption. Beyond biological ties, the term ‘mother’ can also symbolize someone who assumes a maternal role by offering care, protection, and emotional support. And this is why we have decided to bring back the Supermom reality TV show,” Sola said.
In the same vein, Abidemi Alli-Balogun, the brand manager of Supermom reality TV show noted that “the show is returning with a bang. The show will be aired on at least 50 television stations across Nigeria every weekend, kicking off in the coming quarter of the year. With its return, Supermom is set to continue celebrating the selfless love and dedication of mothers everywhere”.
