A man with a crush on Taylor Swift attempted to impress her by throwing cash he had just robbed from a bank over her fence, according to police.
Bruce Rowley, from Derby, Connecticut, has been charged with robbing a bank in Ansonia on 4 April.
Officers said “it seemed he wanted to propose” to the singer so he drove to her home in Rhode Island and started throwing some of the $1,600 (£1,128) he is charged with stealing over the fence.
Rowley was pursued by Rhode Island State Police back to Connecticut where he was arrested. He then told police about his plan.
The 26-year-old was held on a $100,000 (£70,400) bond at his first court hearing.
Earlier this month a man who violated a restraining order and threatened to kill Swift was put on probation for 10 years.
Frank Andrew Hooper was arrested in 2016 following reports he followed her after a show in Austin.
