Peter Obi, the Labour Party (LP) flagbearer in the 2023 presidential election has slammed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s-led federal government with a serious allegation.

Speaking on a Twitter space interaction, Parallel Facts, Obi disclosed that he was being threatened for openly criticising the current government of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

He however maintained that he is unshaken and would not stop the crisiticism until a new Nigeria is born.

This was made known in a post shared by an X user @TheOfficialPOMA, on Sunday, December 17, 2023, via X (formerly Twitter).

POMA tweeted:

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Omoyele Sowore, hinted that he was behind Peter Obi’s emergence as Labour Party flagbearer in the 2023 election.

While denying being obsessed with Obi, Sowore, a former presidential candidate on the African Action Congress (AAC) platform, said it is not the first time he would be helping the former governor.

Sowore also claimed to be instrumental to the emergence of Obi as Labour Party presidential candidate adding that he provided the document used to get the latter a spot in the party.

Labour Party denies merger talk with PDP

Also, Legit.ng reported earlier that the Labour Party dissociated itself from the alleged merger with the PDP and six other political parties against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Obiora Ifoh, LP’s national publicity secretary, in a statement on Saturday, December 9, seen by Legit.ng dissociated the opposition from the coalition of the concerned political parties.

LP said the report associating it with the coalition was false as it quoted one of its officials out of context, adding that it was never and would never be part of any coalition.
