State House, Abuja – President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the award-winning of Victim Osimhen, Asisat Oshoala and Nnadozie Chiamaka for making Nigeria proud at the CAF 2023 Awards.
The President commended them for being sources of pride to the nation and an inspiration for aspiring footballers across the continent.

Also congratulating the award-winning footballers, PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar said their achievements are “no mean feat and is unprecedented in the rich footballing history of our dear country.”
Atiku via his X page, @atiku, partially wrote:
“Osimhen bringing the title to Nigeria after 24 years is no mean feat, as is Asisat Oshoala’s winning the same title for the sixth time.”
In similar manner, Peter Obi congratulated Osimhen and Oshoala for emerging African Players of the Year, in box Men and Women categories.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that Oshoala set social media on fire as she opened up about her love life. In a post shared on her Snapchat page, the footballer revealed that she is ready to be in a relationship.
She noted that she was desperate for a man to be in her life as she needed one to take home for December.
The footballer, in a bid to prove she was very serious about it, stated that she was willing to apply if there were pages of communities she could join that would help her.
Asisat Oshoala’s biography
Oshoala, striker for Spanish Liga F club FC Barcelona is best known for her goal-scoring ability.
She has had plenty of success so far in her career.
Asisat Oshoala is a gifted footballer who has been named African Women’s Player of the Year six times. Her exceptional success earned her a place in the Forbes Africa 30 Under 30 list in 2020.
