A Nigerian man based in the United States of America, Innocent Tino, shared the supposed reason Davido decided to marry Chioma in America.
Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, is in Miami, USA, with his wife, Chioma, for their white wedding.

News of the couple landing in Miami ahead of their upcoming white wedding warmed the hearts of online users, who love them.
Mr and Mrs Adeleke, who were traditionally married in June 2024, are set to have their white wedding this weekend in Miami.
Man shares reason for Davido’s Miami wedding
On his Facebook Page, Innocent, who was also a US citizen, shared why he believed Davido and Chioma’s wedding was being held in America.
The man alleged that if the wedding was not held in the USA, it may be difficult for Chioma to become a US citizen like her husband.
According to the man, their legal wedding in America would supposedly make the process of Chioma’s citizenship easier and faster.
He noted that it was a simple logic, since that was the process involved.
The Facebook post read:
“Some dey ask why Davido dey marry for USA , so una no know say if he doesn’t it will be difficult for Chioma to become a citizen? It is because of her citizenship i suppose. So they want to marry in the USA legally to legalize the process and make it speedy and easier for her to obtain citizenship.. That is the simplest logic to it because that is the process.”
