The WAEC 2025 result of a student, Amah Chiemerie, who lost her mum during the examination period, has been shared online.
This came shortly after WAEC said it had released the results of the 2025 WASSCE, attracting many reactions from social media users.

WAEC made the announcement on Monday, August 4, and many who attempted to check had been sharing their observations.
WAEC wrote:
“The West African Examinations Council is pleased to inform candidates who sat WASSCE for School Candidates, 2025 that the result has officially been released today, Monday, August 4, 2025.”
Woman posts WAEC result of young girl
On her Facebook page, Olutosun Oladosu Adebowale posted Chiemerie’s result and shared the story behind her exam.
Adebowale noted that netizens contributed to paying Chiemere’s school fees after the student lost her mum.
Displaying the girl’s result, the woman said in the post:
“Gratitude. On November 25, 2024, I wrote about Amah Chiemerie. The school proprietor in Ibasa messaged me that Chiemerie’s mother died suddenly and the father told her to end her education.
“She said that because the girl is brilliant, she had to contact me, so that we could rescue her. That day, my sisters helped me , and I paid her school debt, 257,000 Naira, and she was able to continue with her education and also able to write her examination.
“Her father later came to say thank you. I had never met them before this incident. This morning, the school proprietor, Mrs Olayi, sent her WAEC results. In spite of her challenges during the period, she passed her exams.
“May Almighty God continue to bless all mupy supporters. Without you, wetin I go fit do alone. Modupe gan an, Gracias. THANK YOU MY SISFRIENDS AND BROTHERS. She is free! Umuntu Ngumuntu Ngabantu a person is a person through other people.”

Another woman, Ese Ajuya, who came across the post, reacted:
“Awesome sister mi! God continue to crown these efforts. Amen!”
Another student who checked hers also recorded her lowest grade in English Language despite having A1 in five subjects.
She showed what she got in the nine subjects she registered in her 2025 WASSCE, and many noticed that her lowest grade was in English.
