Atlanta, USA – Shehu Sani, a former senator from Kaduna, has said Nigeria is ‘taking over’ the world.

Sani’s stance was in reaction to a Nigerian art and design student, Chancellor Ahaghotu, painting for 100 consecutive hours.

“Nigerians taking over Guinness World Record” – Sani

According to the Guinness World Records (GWR) on January 3, over four days, Chancellor worked to produce 106 pieces depicting all manner of subjects, including celebrities, food items, plants, animals, and much more.

Speaking on the new record, Chancellor said he battled fatigue around the 88-hour mark but remained committed to reaching his 100-hour target.

He said the painting represented his “different moods and feelings.”

The student added that the achievement would help his career and pay service to his school and country.

His words:

“This (record) helps me feel a very high level of personal achievement, build up my career as a reputable artist, and pay a service to my school and country.”

Reacting to Chancellor’s feat, Sani posted on his verified X (formerly Twitter) handle:

“Nigerians are taking over Guinness World Record.”

Nigerian achieves 152 football touches with abdomen

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Chukwuebuka Ezugha, a talented Nigerian football freestyler, amazed the world by setting a new Guinness world record for the most touches of a football with his abdomen in one minute.

He demonstrated incredible skill and stamina by achieving 152 touches, as shown in the video that was posted recently by Guinness World Records on their official website.

Nigerian gets certificate from Guinness World Records

Legit.ng also reported that Guinness World Records certified a Nigerian wigmaker, Helen Williams, as the record holder for the longest handmade wig.

The lady achieved this feat after she completed the wig which measured 351.28 metres (1,152 feet 5 inches).

“We’ve received 1,500+ applications from Nigerians” – GWR

Meanwhile, the number of Nigerians applying to break a Guinness World Record has risen astronomically since May 2023.

Information exclusively obtained by Legit.ng showed that 1,500 people from Nigeria have applied to the Guinness World Records (GWR) from May to July 2023.
